Species Creators

The open species Gelotols was created by two people, however the species is now only owned by one person, Idylicate. The first ever Gelotol was created on March 23rd, 2019, and it just happened to be our mascot, Admani! Since then, we've created many Gelotol adopts and have developed the species further in order to create a good species that everyone can enjoy.

Gelotol Traits

Due to the fact that Gelotols can have such a wide range of traits, this is in a seperate category from the main Gelotols page. We wanted to make sure that people can utilize any ideas they have in order to create their perfect Gelotol. Therefore, we don't have enforced traits that make it a certain way every time and allow them to have an interesting and unique variety of designs. Please keep in mind that the information below mostly applies to the ARPG aspects of a Gelotol. If you're making a non-ARPG Gelotol, feel free to ignore or alter this information for your character.

Gelotol Life Cycle

Miscellaneous

Gelatin: Their bodies are naturally squishy, and are protected by a layer of hardened gelatin on the outside of their bodies. If this hardened gelatin is pierced, the squishier gel flows out, acting like blood.

Objects: Gelotols are born with objects inside of their bodies, examples being strawberries, leaves, etc. Certain Gelotols are born with objects sticking out of their bodies (but still embedded), such as rocks. For Gelotols with naturally forming rocks, it would hurt them if those rocks were taken out of the body, and the same goes for the Gelotols with objects embedded inside of them. If a Gelotol has an object forced into their body, it would hurt them because they weren't born with it naturally.

Piercings: Playing off of the previous segment, piercings are objects that Gelotols are not born with. It would hurt them for them to wear piercings, however some Gelotols don't mind it and will wear piercings anyway. Other Gelotols prefer clip on earrings.

Body: Gelotols can have multiple sets of arms, or limbs. They can also be missing limbs or parts of their bodies that are healed over.

Temperature: Depending on the Gelotol's genetic makeup, their bodies react differently depending on temperature. For example, if a Gelotol has a naturally warm body because their genetic makeup is related to magma, they wouldn't thrive in a colder environment. Their body would slow down and eventually freeze over if they aren't careful. The same goes for a Gelotol who's better suited for the cold. If exposed to overbearing heat, their outer coating could begin to melt and drip off if they aren't careful.
